Chart o' Doom

continuum:

9,903 deaths in Mexico since January 2007 can be directly tied to the drug war being fought on both sides of the border.

The drug war has taken a devastating toll. This map only shows the deaths on the Mexico side of the border. If you add the deaths from California and Texas, this map loses some of its effectiveness. It’s all orange. This includes drug gangs and law enforcement. It also includes politicians that chose lead over silver, thinking they could make a difference. It also includes a great many people that arrived at the wrong place at the wrong time.
